These Kenyan beads are carved, usually from recycled cow bone and cut and shaped into various designs by skilled craftsmen. Once shaped they go through a wax process to create a unique design.
These beads can be worn as jewellery but are commonly used now to display on stands as decorative pieces on console tables or bookshelves or as an ethnic addition to coffee tables, bowls etc.
