Handmade glass beads from Ghana. Made from recycled powdered glass mixed with dyes and moulded or hand-painted with designs. Traditionally these beads were worn in specific colours to symbolise different occasions e.g. red beads worn at times of mourning.
These beads can still be worn as jewellery but are commonly used as statement pieces in the home. They are sold with display stands to showcase on bookshelves, fireplaces etc.
